Friend?

Hey Ben here with a personal update on life.

We all have those best friends in our life. I like hanging with my group of friends on Saturday and kicking butt in video games while snacking on chips and soda. It all fun and games with the guys, and we always have a blast.

I also have some awesome friends that are girls, but all of them are hard to get, especially my best friend (I’ll call her by her nickname Twitch {long story})

Twitch isn’t like most girls I know. She willingly watches war movies, kick tail in DDR (Dance Dance Revolution), and she loves doing wheelies on her bike. Overall though, I love her faith in Christ. Twitch stands out among girls to me.

Every heard of that saying that guys and girls can’t be best friends, without it turning into something more? Well for a while I didn’t believe that, but now I do. And it’s so freaking irritating because no matter how much I try to tell myself ‘don’t go there’… I always end up doing the opposite.

You know what I’m going to say next. I really like Twitch. Not just like, but the ‘LIKE-like’. It’s driving me nuts too! I really can’t stop thinking about her. I make this list of things in my head about her and go over it again and again.

The other day I asked Twitch about courting (dating) between Christ followers. Her response: “Well, I know that a relationship should be God based; He should be the center of it all, if not then it’s a guaranteed fail. (she paused to think) Also a guy and a girl should form a friendship and get to know each other’s hearts so they have a firm foundation, kind of like with God. If you don’t have firm faith to stand on then you’ll stumble. Same goes a relationship; if you don’t have a firm friendship and understanding of each other the relationship will collapse into a heaping mess. (she laughed here) Why, is there a girl you’re interested in?

Of course I’m not going to tell Twitch that I like her, so I shrugged and said, “Just asking.” Then she went on and said she’d look up some verses for me in the bible. (I have yet to receive them)

I would really like to tell her that I like her but I’d hate to ruin our friendship. If I told her it would just be awkward, but I would also like to know if she likes me back. Dah, I need to think on this more. If any of my readers have any advice, let me know.

Peace,
~Ben

School

Hey Everyone,

Ben Z. is checking in. I know probably most of you people are or already have started school.

I'm heading into high school this year, 10th grade that is. My question is, should I be excited? Maybe. I mean a chance to make new friends, enjoy four hours of homework a night (that's a joke). There could be, and there is a huge plus side to starting high school, but I don't think I'm ready for all the junk that goes on around in school.

I mean, this whole dating at fifteen/sixteen? Uh, no, save it for when you're ready to get married. The pressure that people put on you to do things that are wrong. Drugs, for one. What's so cool about being high on drugs and doing drugs. Nothing.

I know it gets crazy and the pressure of things starts to weigh down on you, but try to hold strong. You have your whole life ahead of you. So instead of working on that relationship, try getting those grades up (not saying that people in a relationship have bad grades). Say no to the drugs and do your homework.

Hey, maybe you'll even have time for a night job or something. Maybe earn a little cash to put into savings or hey, buy that new video game system that you've wanted forever. Strive to do your best this school year, and even go beyond that.

Working hard plays off. Hey, you're reading someone's post who's had straight A's even in Kindergarten.

Well, it's getting late and it's time to get ready for a good night's rest. I promise to post soon. Maybe an update on school or something.

Until then...Ben out.

The Jonas Brothers

Hey,

Ben Z. here.

Did the title freak you Jonas fans out? Well I’m not here to bash the Jonas Brothers over the head…well maybe a little. I’m actually directing my attention to all those crazed fan girls (hopefully not guys). First a note to the Jonas Brothers.

Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas,

I praise you guys. It seems so far that you haven’t gotten too caught up in all that Hollywood junk. Stay away from the drugs and the alcohol. It would be a shame to see one of your faces plastered on the front pages of newspapers and magazines saying someone saw you drunk at a bar or wasted on drugs. Stay pure guys.

~Benjamin

Crazy, Insane, Freaky, Jonas Fangirls,

GET A LIFE! This isn’t some joke, listen to me! The chances of you marrying one of the Jonas Brother is, well, very, very, very, (we’ll just pretend there are like a million more of those)….slim. There is some guy out there who is much better for you, just wait for fate.

No, you don’t have to take down your posters or stop listening to the Jonas Brothers, but please, get rid of the bed spread and pillow case. ‘Fandom’ like that isn’t attractive at all. It’s actually kind of scary. One day you’ll look back and ask yourself, ‘was I really that stupid’?

So girls, give up your ‘Jonas dreams’ and do something with your life. Remember, stay pure, it’s a great thing to hold onto. Find something else to crazy about, like a hobby. ‘Jonas’ doesn’t really count as a hobby. How about photography? Or soccer? Like I said; GET A LIFE!

~Ben Z. T.

Well, that’s all the time I have now. It's 9 PM and I've got to get writing.

Ben Z. out.

Ben Z. here, or as my younger siblings call me, 'Benji'

Hey to my readers out there (even though it’s just me reading so far). Real name’s Benjamin, and no I wasn’t joking about the ‘Benji’ nickname. Moving on now.

Welcome to my blog, where I’ll be posting every now and then. Here will lay personal thoughts on the most random things, and maybe if I get enough people reading I’ll update you on my life.

You can read a few things about me on my profile, I’d hate to waste some much space, so read it, or not. But for you lazy people who need to get a life, here:

~I write books (none published yet, sadly)

~I’m going into culinary school. (yes, that is a school where you learn to become a chef).
And you want to know what my favorite food is? (No. Nada. NO! Yes…finally) Rice, with a tad bit of butter and salt. (Hey I’m easy to please)

~I watch and read things about romance (guys should learn to like it just as much as those awesome war movies)

~I play guitar (I did not mention this on my profile)

~I cannot keep my room clean for more than a week, but it gets cleaned up within two days.

~I have 364 songs on my iPod nano.

Well that's about it. Until then readers, peace out.
